Jesus Finalizes Absences and Defines Al-Nassr's Squad Features Ahead of Istiklol Dushanbe Match
Wednesday 26-11-2025
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr announced his technical decisions regarding the team's roster traveling to Tajikistan in preparation for the match against Istiklol Dushanbe, as part of the fifth round of the AFC Champions League 2.

Jesus confirmed the exclusion of three key players from the team's trip, having chosen to rest the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and avoid risking him, given the intense schedule of consecutive matches in recent weeks.

The decision also included the absence of the French winger Kingsley Coman, who is continuing his treatment program following the injury that prevented him from participating in the recent match against Al Khaleej in the Roshn Saudi League.

Jesus also decided not to include goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi, preferring to rely on the Brazilian Pinto Matheus in the starting lineup for the upcoming match against Esteghlal Dushanbe on Wednesday.

Al-Nassr's team will travel to play the match, which kicks off at 4:45 PM Saudi time, with a strong desire to continue their winning streak and strengthen their lead on the continental level.

Al-Nassr tops its group with 12 points, ahead of Iraq's Al-Zawraa and Dushanbe's Istiklol, both of which have 6 points each, while India's Goa sits at the bottom of the standings with no points.
