Qatari club Al-Duhail crushed their guests Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia with a 4-2 victory in the fifth round of Group B matches in the AFC Champions League Elite.

Algerian Adel Boulbina opened the scoring early in the 5th minute, before extending the lead with a second goal following a defensive error by Danilo Pereira, going one-on-one with Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajković in the 35th minute.

Despite Al-Ittihad controlling the ball 65% of the time during the first half, the team was unable to take a shot on Al-Duhail's goal, who managed 3 shots and scored twice, ending the first half with Al-Duhail leading 2-0.

Adel Boulbina scored his third goal after dribbling past the Al-Ittihad defense and delivering a powerful left-footed shot in the 53rd minute. Then, the Polish player Krzysztof Piatek added the fourth goal in the 74th minute.

Frenchman Karim Benzema reduced the gap for Al-Ittihad in the 76th minute, before adding his second goal for the club in the 83rd minute, achieving a brace despite the heavy defeat.

With this victory, Al-Duhail's points rose to 7, placing them second in Group 2, while Al-Ittihad's points remained at 6, holding third place, as they continue to seek wins to make up for a difficult start.
