Wydad Athletic Club began their journey in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with a well-deserved 3-0 victory over their guests, Kenya's Nairobi United. The match was held at the Arab Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday evening, as part of the first round.

The red team scored their two goals in the first half through Ayoub Bouchta and Albouchwari, before Al-Raihi added the third goal in the second half, in a match that saw almost complete dominance by Wydad and numerous missed opportunities in front of the goal.

The match witnessed a large and enthusiastic Wydad fan attendance, creating an exciting atmosphere. Among the spectators in the stands was the Moroccan international star Hakim Ziyech, who recently joined Wydad, making his first appearance at the stadium following his official signing.

With this victory, Wydad secures their first three points, and in the second round, they will face the Tanzanian team Azam away from home, in a new test for the coach's men who are striving to achieve a strong start in this continental edition.
