Sports commentator Ahmed Shobeir commented on the possibility of Wissam Abu Ali, former Al Ahly star and current Columbus Crew player, returning to the ranks of the Red team.

Shobeir said on Facebook: "Shobeir, commenting on Wissam Abu Ali's message to Emam Ashour: 'By God, I’ve known you for a long time, Wissam. It feels like you’re teasing Al Ahly, as if you’re saying, even if the world turns against me, I’m coming to you. I’m here as an Al Ahly fan so no one can say Shobeir said the Al Ahly board welcomes Wissam Abu Ali’s return.'"

He added: "And then, if he wants to come back, a million welcomes, it's an honor and a pleasure. Is this a dishonorable player? No, this is not a player to be abandoned. You might say he sold out Al-Ahly, sold out Al-Ahly? Man, you took 7.5 million dollars, so good for the sale and good for the return."

Wisam Abu Ali joined the Columbus Crew in the United States last summer transfer window, coming from Al Ahly after a period of impressive performances with the Red team.
