Omani Team to Officiate Al Hilal vs Al Shorta in AFC Champions League
The Referees Committee of the Asian Football Confederation has appointed an Omani team to officiate the match between Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal and Iraq's Al Shorta in the fifth round of the AFC Champions League Elite competition.
The match was assigned to international referee Qasim Al-Hatami to officiate on the field, assisted by his compatriots Nasser Salem as the first assistant and Hamed Taleb as the second assistant, while Mahmoud Salem will serve as the fourth official.
It was decided that the Qatari Mishari Al-Shammari will oversee the VAR video technology, with the participation of Kuwaiti Abdullah Al-Kandari, while the Emirati Hassan Al-Mahri will be responsible for evaluating the refereeing team.
Kamal Tokabayev from Kyrgyzstan is responsible for officiating the match, as part of the technical organization approved for the Asian Championship matches.
The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh is scheduled to host the highly anticipated match next Tuesday at 9:15 PM Mecca and Qatar time, 8:15 PM Cairo time, and 10:15 PM Dubai time.
