Krunoslav Jurčić, the coach of Pyramids, expressed his happiness after his team’s impressive 3-0 victory over Rivers United in the first round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

During the press conference, Jurčić said that his team entered the match with the goal of securing a victory from the very first minute, despite having limited information about the opponent at the start of the game.

He added: "In the first half, we didn't finish our chances well, but the players' reaction in the second half was strong, and we managed to score three goals and secure three valuable points."

He continued: "We are still at the beginning of the journey and face important matches, whether away or in Cairo. We are approaching the tournament step by step, and our goal is clear: to defend the title."

Jurčić confirmed that the Brazilian Everton, a player for Pyramids, needs time to adapt due to the difference in football culture.
