El-Shenawy Undergoes Scans After Injury Against JS Kabylie

Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, the doctor of Al Ahly Club, revealed details this evening, Saturday, about the injury sustained by the international goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy during the match against Algeria's JS Kabylie in the opening of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

Al-Shenawy was injured in the 79th minute, prompting head coach Yass Torop to substitute him with Mostafa Shobeir, after the goalkeeper felt pain in his left adductor muscle.

The Al-Ahly doctor explained that El-Shenawy is suffering from an injury to his left adductor muscle, and the decision to substitute him was made to prevent the injury from worsening.

Jaballah added that the goalkeeper will undergo scans in the coming hours to more accurately assess his condition and determine his status regarding participation in group training sessions.

Al Ahly secured a significant 4-1 victory over JS Kabylie in the match held at Cairo International Stadium, earning their first three points in the group stage.
