Brazilian midfielder Fabinho Tavares of Al-Ittihad explained that his team faces a significant challenge in chasing the league leader Al-Nassr, despite the efforts made to improve their position in the Roshn Saudi Professional League standings.

Al-Nassr leads the league table with 24 points, while Al-Ittihad occupies seventh place with 17 points, having added three valuable points with their recent 2-1 victory over Al-Riyadh in the ninth round.

Fabinho confirmed after the match that Al-Ittihad delivered a strong performance in the first half, adding that they managed to score two goals and could have added more from clear chances that were not utilized as well as they should have been.

The Al-Ittihad player pointed out that the team is in urgent need of collecting as many points as possible in the upcoming rounds, acknowledging that narrowing the gap with Al-Nassr is a challenging task but not impossible if the team manages to maintain a winning streak.

Fabinho emphasized that Al-Ittihad's focus must be solely on winning, affirming that the ambition of the players and coaching staff is to maintain pressure on the leading teams and not to concede any upcoming matches.

The Saudi Roshn League matches are scheduled to pause in the upcoming period, coinciding with the Saudi national team's participation in the Arab Cup, which the country is hosting from December 1 to 18. This break gives the teams an opportunity to regroup before the competition resumes.
