German star Jérôme Boateng, former Bayern Munich defender, broke his silence and spoke publicly about the suicide of his ex-girlfriend Kasia Lenhardt, stating that he was "deprived of his right to grieve" amid the accusations directed at him.

In his defense, Boateng explained that Leinhardt repeatedly threatened to destroy his entire football career with false accusations of domestic violence.

He also mentioned that she threatened him, saying she would falsely support her other ex-girlfriend in court in the case she filed against him for physical assault.

Boateng's recent statements came years after the death of Kasia Linhardt in February 2021, a case that sparked widespread controversy in the German and international media.

A criminal investigation was previously opened against Boateng on suspicion of assaulting her, but the legal proceedings have experienced developments and complications.

It is worth mentioning that Boateng was recently acquitted of the charge of assaulting his ex-wife in a separate case, after the Bavarian Supreme Court overturned the previous rulings and sent the case back for reconsideration.
