Amorim Reveals Latest Developments on Manchester United Injuries
Sunday 23-11-2025
Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, spoke about his team's preparations for their upcoming match against Everton, scheduled for Monday at Old Trafford as part of the 12th week of the Premier League. He also discussed the condition of injured players and the future of those involved in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Amorim said: "Cisco will be out for several weeks. I don't know the exact duration of his absence, but it's not a serious injury. We just need to be careful with him."

He added, "Cisco will return; he has begun the recovery phase and is feeling better, so we expect him to be back within a few weeks."

He continued: "I believe he will return around the same time that Amad and Mbeumo leave to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations. I can't say for certain, but when they travel for the camp, I expect that Sesko will have returned."

He continued: "Maguire is not ready, and Coby Mino did not train today, but I think we might see him training tomorrow. We'll see."

Regarding the departure date of the players participating in the continental tournament, he said: "There are rules that determine when players are allowed to leave. We will see. We are trying to keep the players for a longer period, but it is not entirely up to us. We will do our best to protect the club, the players, and the national team as well."

He added: "I believe they will leave two weeks before the start of the tournament, and we will try to reach an agreement with the federations, but we must respect their wishes in this matter."

And he continued: "The table doesn't mean much right now because it's very tight. If you know our team's history, you never know when things will get tough."

Amorim concluded his statements by saying: "Things moved very quickly. The first thing I noticed was that the environment in the English league is different, and there was a feeling that it is the best league with the best club in the world. We are demonstrating that, but the important thing now is not to forget what happened in the recent matches. We must remember that we struggled last year. I expect a team that is more controlling and more dominant."
