Al Hilal Denies Receiving Any Offers to Sign Cancelo
Officials of Al Hilal Saudi Club denied the existence of any official offers to sign the Portuguese João Cancelo recently, confirming that the player is still part of the club's plans for the current season.
According to the program "Action with Walid," Al Hilal's management emphasized that they have not received any offers in recent days to sign Cancelo, while the management has begun studying the modification of the team roster in preparation for reintegrating the player into the local squad in the coming period after his recovery from injury.
Previously, Al Hilal had to remove Cancelo's name from the local roster due to the player's injury, keeping him registered only for the AFC Champions League Elite, and registering the Brazilian Marcos Leonardo locally instead of him.
In a related context, the program clarified that the Brazilian Péricles Chamusca, coach of Al Taawoun, rejected Al Hilal's request to sign Sultan Mendesh in the upcoming January, insisting on keeping the player due to the team's need for his services.
The report also indicated that negotiations are still ongoing between Al Hilal and Al Khaleej regarding the transfer of defender Murad Hawsawi during the winter transfer window, without reaching a final agreement so far.
