Zamalek Club announced yesterday evening, Wednesday, that it received an official notification from the African Football Confederation (CAF) approving the implementation of a series of tribute ceremonies for the late Mohamed Sabry, the star of the White Castle, during the upcoming match against ZESCO United in the CAF Confederation Cup.

According to the official notification, CAF approved a minute of silence before the start of the match, along with displaying a picture of the late player wearing the Zamalek jersey on the stadium screens during the moment of silence to commemorate his memory.

The African Confederation also allowed Zamalek players to wear special shirts during warm-up sessions bearing Mohamed Sabry's image and the phrase "Farewell Mohamed Sabry," in addition to wearing black armbands throughout the match as an expression of mourning within the club.

CAF's decision comes in appreciation of Mohamed Sabry's career, pride in his outstanding contributions during his years of brilliance with Zamalek Club, and a desire to grant the legend a fitting tribute in a major continental tournament.
