Juventus Targets Signing Marseille Player
Tuesday 16-12-2025
Italian club Juventus is preparing to focus on strengthening their midfield during the January winter transfer window, with player Pierre-Emile Højbjerg identified as a priority for coach Luciano Spalletti, according to a report by Football Italia.

Juventus is looking for a new midfielder capable of controlling the game from deep, to potentially replace Manuel Locatelli, who, according to Spalletti's view, does not perfectly fit the ideal model for this position, despite his continued confidence in Locatelli's abilities.

Højbjerg is considered the ideal choice to strengthen the team's ranks, given his technical expertise and charismatic leadership. However, his transfer will not be easy due to his key role at his current club Marseille under the management of coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Besides Højbjerg, other players were mentioned as options for Juventus in January, such as Adrian Bernabé from Parma and Rodrigo Mendoza from Elche, who has a release clause of 20 million euros and is also linked with potential moves to Manchester City or Real Madrid.
