Wednesday 19-11-2025
The Saudi Super Cup case has entered a critical stage, as the Sports Arbitration Center prepares to issue the final decision after all related procedures have been completed.

The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that the case has reached the final pleading stage after the appointment of the arbitrators and the payment of the arbitration fees, paving the way for the issuance of the ruling in the coming days.

The final decision is expected to be issued within the next week, according to press sources, to settle the ongoing debate regarding the participation of clubs and the system used in the tournament this season.

The case file includes Ahmed Abu Amara representing the Football Association, while Mohamed Abdelraouf represents Al Hilal Club. Abdulrahman Al-Abd Al-Karim is considered the lead arbitrator within the arbitration panel to review the submitted appeals.

Al Hilal had objected to the decisions of the Appeals Committee in the federation, which upheld the Competitions Department's decision regarding Al Ahli's participation in the Super Cup following Al Hilal's withdrawal, in accordance with Article 6/4 of the Competitions and Championships Regulations.

The appeals committee had overturned the disciplinary decision against Al-Hilal, but it ruled the team as having lost 0-3 to Al-Qadisiyah in the semifinal, imposed a fine of 500,000 riyals, and banned them from continuing in the tournament or receiving any related financial benefits.
