A Portuguese newspaper revealed that João Cancelo, the Portuguese star of Al Hilal Saudi Club, has requested the club management to allow him to leave the team.
The Portuguese newspaper "A Bola" reported: "In the past few hours, João Cancelo, a player of the first football team at Al Hilal Club, has requested to leave the club. He submitted the request to the club's management in order to depart from the team, indicating that his primary desire is to return to Europe."
The player suffered a hamstring injury that prevented him from participating with Al-Hilal in their matches, and his name was removed from the local roster.
Al Hilal is currently in third place in the Saudi League standings with 20 points.
