Frenchman Karim Benzema, striker and captain of Al-Ittihad, expressed his desire to continue with the "Tigers" after his contract expires next summer, emphasizing that his future depends on meeting with the club's management to determine their position.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper "AS," Benzema explained: "I can't confirm whether I will stay or leave, as the decision depends on several factors. I will turn 38 in December, and I see the possibility of continuing for another two years."

He added: "Let's see what will happen and what the club decides. I need to sit down with them face to face to understand their plans, but the best thing for me is to continue with Al-Ittihad."

Benzema mentioned that he received offers from European clubs after his contract ended, but he prefers to stay in Saudi Arabia due to the league's annual development and his feeling of appreciation from the fans.

The 2022 Ballon d'Or winner also emphasized that in his third season in the Saudi league, he sees the level of competition continuously improving and that he will not make his final decision until he has considered all options.

Benzema assigned a 50% probability to any future step in his career, emphasizing that he has not yet decided on his next destination, and highlighting the importance of the wonderful treatment he has received in Saudi Arabia since his arrival.
