Saad Natiq Returns to the Iraqi National Team
Thursday 13-11-2025
Before today's match against the UAE in the Asian playoff first leg, Saad Natiq, the defender of Duhok Club, returned to the Iraqi national team after the injury of the Black Lions defender, Rebin Solaka, in preparation for the two matches against the UAE in the Asian playoff.

Natiq entered the Iraqi national team list after showing good levels with his team Duhok, where he participated in six matches since the start of the season in the Iraqi Premier League.

The defender has extensive experience with the national team, having played 40 official matches, including 14 matches in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, four matches in the West Asian Championship, three matches in the Asian Cup, and two matches in the Arabian Gulf Cup, scoring a single goal during his international career against the Jordanian team in the last Asian Cup.

The Thai Port player Rebin Solaka had joined the Iraqi delegation in Abu Dhabi, but he suffered a muscle injury during training sessions after participating in his team's match against Bangkok United last Saturday.

The muscle fatigue caused him to be unfit to play in the two matches, which led the coaching staff, led by Arnold, to call up Saad Natiq as a replacement, despite the difficulty of his joining the first leg match this evening.
