Wednesday 17-12-2025
Roy Pedro, the sports director of Al Ahli Saudi Club, announced that improving the quality of the medical staff at the club is one of his top priorities in the upcoming period, following the struggles with numerous injuries this season.

The Saudi sports newspaper reported that the frequent long-term absences of players prompted Pedro to work on improving the medical efficiency within the club to ensure quick recovery and reduce health risks.

The report stated that Pedro's focus also includes monitoring rehabilitation and treatment programs to reduce the recurrence of injuries, which contributes to better preparing players for official matches in the league and the King's Cup.

The newspaper added that the sporting director is focusing on finding technical solutions to cope with the absence of the three international players: Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Ivorian Franck Kessié, and Senegalese Edouard Mendy, due to their commitments with their national teams in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sources indicated that the absence of these players will continue from the end of December until mid-January, prompting Pedro to devise a plan to compensate for them and provide suitable alternatives within the team's lineup.

The report concluded by emphasizing that the development of the medical staff and managing the absences of key players are Pedro's main focus to maintain Al-Ahli's technical stability and achieve positive results in the Saudi league and upcoming competitions.
