The media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour, a former star of Zamalek, revealed that Al-Ahly has started to take steps to sign Hamid Hamdan, the star of Petrojet, in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Al-Ghandour stated in television remarks: "The Al-Ahly management has opened negotiations with Petrojet Club to acquire the international Palestinian player Hamed Hamdan, and the club has shown initial approval for the Palestinian's transfer to the Red Giant."

He continued: "Hamid Hamdan does not mind moving to Al Ahly Club next January and is open to the idea. The head coach of Al Ahly is impressed with Hamid Hamdan and has requested the club's management to sign the player in January to strengthen the defensive midfield position, especially since there is only Marwan Attia in that position."

He added: "The agreement made with Zamalek Club stipulates that Hamdan will transfer to the club in January for 20 million Egyptian pounds. However, Zamalek has not responded to us yet, and we are aware of the club's issues, including the registration ban. Therefore, it is more likely that Hamdan will move to Al Ahly in January."
