Al-Ahly Demands the Football Association to Deter Those Who Transgress Against Zizo

Al-Ahly Club issued an official statement through its official accounts confirming that it has requested the Football Association to urgently investigate the transgressions committed by the fans of Zamalek Club against the player of the red team, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, during the Egyptian Super Cup final match.

Al-Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup title after surpassing its traditional rival Zamalek in the final match last Sunday with a score of 2-0.

The statement from Al-Ahly read as follows:

The club sent a complaint today to the Egyptian Football Association, urgently requesting an investigation into the unethical transgressions by Zamalek Club's fans against our player Ahmed Sayed Zizo and his family during the Egyptian Super Cup final match held last Sunday in the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

The complaint stated that our player was subjected to offensive chants and inappropriate words, in the presence of all attendees at the stadium, including Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and all leaders of the football system. The complaint also noted that these behaviors have been repeated many times in the past — and still continue — due to the lack of deterrence for the perpetrators. Al-Ahly Club, while refusing to infringe upon the rights of any of its players, demands the application of regulations and laws, the restoration of the moral rights of its player, and the restoration of his dignity; to reinforce ethical values and enhance the principle of fair competition.
