Al-Ittihad Launches Its Giant Project in Asfan in Preparation for a New Era of Sports Development
This initiative is part of a plan aimed at enhancing the club's infrastructure and developing its technical and administrative sectors.
According to a report published by the Saudi sports newspaper, the new project will include nine modern training fields, among which is an air-conditioned field designated for the first team, designed according to the highest quality standards and global technologies used in elite clubs.
The club's management, headed by Fahd Sandi, intends to submit the final designs of the project to the relevant authorities in the coming days for official approval, paving the way for the start of the implementation phase, which includes comprehensive facilities for youth training and a main stadium equipped with advanced technologies.
The new headquarters will also feature a fully equipped gym, dedicated rooms for technical and administrative staff, as well as physical therapy centers equipped with the latest recovery and sports rehabilitation technologies, ensuring an ideal environment for players of all categories.
The newspaper reported that Al-Ittihad Club plans to utilize the vast space of the site through quality projects, including the establishment of an advanced rehabilitation center similar to Qatar's Aspire Academy, as well as a commercial area featuring restaurants, cafes, and global brands.
This project is part of the club's vision to enhance its financial sustainability and develop its sports environment according to modern professional standards. The new branch in Asfan is expected to serve as a central hub for hosting major events that Saudi Arabia is preparing to host, most notably the 2034 World Cup.
