Olympique Safi submitted an official complaint to the refereeing department of the National Professional Football League, following the defeat they suffered against Wydad Athletic Club with a score of (2-1) in the eighth round of the "Inwi" professional league.

The Safi team clarified in its statement that the match witnessed significant refereeing errors, especially from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team, which, according to their expression, "overlooked intervening in crucial moments that could have changed the course of the match."

The statement indicated that this step comes after "a series of controversial decisions" that have accompanied the team's matches since the beginning of the season, emphasizing that they have always accepted subjective errors in a sportsmanlike manner, but "what happened in the match against Wydad exceeded acceptable limits and lacked the necessary neutrality."

Olympique Safi also expressed its astonishment at the televised broadcast of the match, pointing out the "neglect of crucial moments" during the live broadcast, which they considered "raises questions about the objectivity of the production and its potential impact on VAR decisions."

The club concluded its statement by emphasizing its commitment to the values of discipline and respect for sports institutions, calling on the relevant authorities to "seriously address their complaint" to ensure the integrity of the competition and preserve the image of the national league.
