Manchester United's Position on Jadon Sancho's Contract Renewal
Sunday 09-11-2025
The website "Fichajes" reported that Manchester United has decided not to renew the contract of their English player Jadon Sancho, allowing him to leave the team as a free agent at the end of the current season.

The 25-year-old player, who previously excelled with Borussia Dortmund, has not delivered the expected results since his transfer to Old Trafford for 85 million euros in 2021.

The club did not exercise the option to extend Sancho's contract to avoid paying a high weekly salary of up to 200,000 euros, after he played 83 matches and was directly involved in only 18 goals. With this decision, the club aims to save budget and make room for players who have an immediate impact and a higher competitive spirit.

Sancho is currently playing on loan at Aston Villa under the management of Unai Emery, in an attempt to revive his career. Speculation is also growing about his return to Borussia Dortmund as a free agent, where he could regain his form in a familiar environment and a less pressurized attacking style.

This situation highlights the importance of discipline, adaptability, and the mental aspect alongside talent to ensure success in the English Premier League.
