Reports have revealed that left-back Andrew Robertson, a player for Liverpool, is open to signing a pre-agreement to return to Scottish club Celtic, the team where he began his career.

According to TEAMtalk, Celtic officials believe that Robertson would be the perfect mentor for the young full-backs in the team, in addition to being a leader capable of solidifying a defense that has been struggling with conceding goals recently.

The player's contract with Liverpool ends in June 2026, which means he will be legally able to negotiate and sign an agreement with any club starting next January, unless his contract with the "Reds" is renewed.

Robertson (29 years old) is considered one of the top full-backs in the world in recent years, playing a pivotal role in Liverpool's triumph in the Premier League and the Champions League under the management of Jürgen Klopp, before entering a new phase with coach Arne Slot.
