Sports Critic Reveals History of Zamalek and Pyramids Matches
Sports critic Amr El-Dardir revealed the history of the matches between Zamalek and Pyramids on his Facebook page.
Al-Dardir said: "Recently, the phrase 'Pyramids have taken the place of Zamalek' has been circulating, both in the media and in the streets of Egypt."
He added, "Let's take a look at the history of the matches between the two teams: 24 matches, 14 wins for Zamalek, 4 wins for Pyramids, and 6 draws."
He concluded: "This means that even if Pyramids wins Africa, participates in the World Cup, wins the African Super Cup, and outperforms Al-Ahly in the league, you will always find Zamalek having the upper hand over them, and with fewer resources. This is the beautiful principle of 'illogicality' that exists within Zamalek. Rise up, my friend, we are Zamalek."
Zamalek won against Pyramids yesterday, Thursday, in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup, triumphing in a penalty shootout with a score of 5-4 after the regular time ended in a goalless draw of 0-0.
