Amorim's award came after leading Manchester United to three consecutive victories in the league, against Sunderland 2-0, Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield for the first time in nearly ten years, and Brighton 4-2 at Old Trafford, marking the first time the team achieved this feat since he took over as head coach in November 2024.

As for the players, Cameroonian Bryan Mbeumo shone during October, directly contributing to four goals (scoring three and assisting one), helping Manchester United win all three of its matches. Mbeumo scored an early goal against Liverpool just 62 seconds into the match, before ending the month with a brace against Brighton, becoming the team's top scorer in the league this season.

Thus, Manchester United achieves the monthly awards double for the first time since November 2023, when Harry Maguire, Erik ten Hag, and Alejandro Garnacho won the Player, Manager, and Goal of the Month awards respectively.
