Juventus and Milan Interested in Signing Tonali

Reports have revealed the continued interest of Juventus and Milan in signing Italian star Sandro Tonali, a player for Newcastle United, following his recent statements indicating that he is unable to commit to a long-term future with the English club.

According to what Football Italia reported, Tonali feels nostalgic for Milan, while Juventus still dreams of bringing him back to Serie A.

Tonali stated after Newcastle's 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League: "I don't want to say that I will stay here for 10 years, then leave after two, three, four, or five."

Reports clarified that the player renewed his contract with Newcastle during his previous suspension, lasting until the summer of 2029 with an option for an additional year, and despite confirming his happiness at St. James' Park, reports indicated Tonali's desire to return to Milan in the future.

The source added that former Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli had sought to sign Tonali earlier, but the deal did not go through for financial reasons, while the club remains interested in acquiring him.

The report noted that the financial aspect represents the main obstacle to completing the deal, as Tonali earns a salary ranging between 8 and 10 million euros annually, making his transfer to any club in Serie A currently difficult.

The report emphasized that Tonali could be one of the prominent names in the upcoming summer transfer market, despite the financial obstacles facing clubs interested in signing him.
