The list includes Moroccan Yassine Bounou, Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly, Saudi Salem Al-Dawsari, and Portuguese Ruben Neves from Al-Hilal, in addition to the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, a player for Al-Nassr.
The list also included Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Al Ahly, and Italian forward Maeto Rittigi from Al Qadisiyah, in recognition of the impressive performances these players delivered in domestic and continental competitions over the past year.
This remarkable presence reflects the significant development in the Saudi league, which has become a prominent destination for global football stars, thanks to the massive investments that have transformed the level of competition and the quality of performance.
The voting for the FIFA Ideal Team is conducted in collaboration with the Professional Footballers' Association (FIFPro), where football players from around the world participate in selecting the best from July 2024 to August 2025.
The International Football Federation is expected to reveal the final lineup during the FIFA Awards ceremony scheduled for next December, amid widespread anticipation to see how many Saudi stars will succeed in making it to the final list.
