Al-Nasr Club Refuses Changes to Foreign Player Registration System
Thursday 06-11-2025
Al-Nasr Club reaffirmed its stance against any changes to the registration system for foreign players of the 'born' category, stating in an official statement released on Thursday evening that it will not accept any amendments during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The club stated in its announcement that it is deeply concerned about the recent movements in the sports community regarding the amendment of regulations for registering foreign players under 21 years old. These movements were not implemented at the end of the summer transfer window due to the clubs' refusal at that time.

Al-Nasr pointed out that reintroducing these proposals in the middle of the season undermines the principle of equal opportunities among clubs and directly affects the stability and fairness of the competitions, considering that the current timing does not allow for any organizational changes.

The statement also addressed the issue of refereeing, clarifying that the team faced unfair decisions in the last round, and that such refereeing errors could undermine the credibility of the competition and affect the results of the league.

The club affirmed its full commitment to the regulations and rules approved by the Saudi Football Federation, stating that it will not accept any violations or amendments imposed without the prior agreement and consent of the clubs.

In conclusion of its statement, Al-Nasr Club emphasized that it retains all its legal rights to resort to the relevant authorities if any changes are made to the current registration system, affirming its commitment to protecting its interests and ensuring fairness in the Saudi league competition.
