Omar Abdulrahman Amouri, the star of Emirati football, announced his retirement from football permanently after a career filled with achievements that lasted for years on the pitch.

Amouri stated in a statement published on his Instagram account today, Thursday, that he cherishes everything he has accomplished during his journey on the fields, noting that his career with Al Ain was the reason for his name's prominence in the sports arena.

The message read: "Today, I announce with love and gratitude my retirement from football, after a beautiful journey that lasted for years filled with challenges and achievements. It was a career that I built with effort, and the support of loyal ones."

He continued: "I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Al Ain Club, for his trust and great support throughout my career, and I also thank His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Dhaheri, His Excellency Nasser bin Thaloub Al Dhaheri, and His Excellency Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi for their continuous support and encouragement."

He added: "I would like to thank Al Ain Club and the loyal Al Ain community for their support throughout the years I spent in this great institution, which was filled with championships and achievements and was the reason for Omar's prominence in the sports arena."

He continued: "I thank Al Hilal Club and its fans for the short period I spent there, and I wished to leave a significant mark in this club, but it was God's will, and I thank God for everything."

Amouri expressed his gratitude to other clubs he represented, saying: "I cherish every moment I spent with the clubs I represented: Al Jazira, Shabab Al Ahli, and Al Wasl, as each club holds a special place in my heart and a mark in my journey, thank you all."

He concluded: "Thank you from the heart to the loyal fans who were always my support and the greatest motivation for me; your love and encouragement were the secret to my continuity and giving. Today, I close this beautiful chapter of my life and begin a new journey. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey."
