Ancelotti Shocks Neymar with an Indirect Message
Tuesday 04-11-2025
The Brazilian national team's manager Carlo Ancelotti clarified his position on the possibility of calling up a player who is not fully fit to participate in the upcoming World Cup matches, in an indirect reference to star Neymar Junior.

Ancelotti said in a press conference: "Will you take a player to the World Cup who does not have the ability to play at full intensity for 90 minutes but can make a difference in the last half hour of the match? I might include a player who is not fully fit for the first or second game, but I will not take a player who lacks the physical strength to compete in the World Cup. We need players at the highest physical level."

These statements from the Italian coach come amid calls from Brazilian fans to include Neymar in the national team list, despite his absence from the last squad announced by the coaching staff in preparation for the upcoming international break.

The Brazilian national team is scheduled to play two friendly matches against Senegal and Tunisia on November 15 and 18, as part of its preparations for the World Cup finals.
