The name of French coach Patrice Carteron, currently managing Qatari club Umm Salal, has re-emerged in the list of candidates to lead Zamalek in the upcoming period, succeeding the dismissed Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira.

According to sources, Patrice Carteron has entered the list of candidates to replace Ferreira as Zamalek's coach in the near future.

This comes after Zamalek's management decided last Saturday to dismiss Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira due to poor results and appointed Ahmed Abdel-Raouf as interim coach until a foreign technical director is contracted.

Sources indicated that Zamalek's management is inclined to the idea of bringing back Carteron, given his good knowledge of the club, as he previously won three titles with the team: the Egyptian League, the local Super Cup, and the African Super Cup.
