Al-Ahly Excludes Return of Wissam Abu Ali
Sources confirmed today, Tuesday, that officials at Al-Ahly Club have excluded the move to regain Palestinian Wissam Abu Ali, the former striker of the team and current player for Columbus Crew in the United States, in the upcoming period.
According to the sources, Al-Ahly's management denies the reports that recently discussed the possibility of Wissam Abu Ali's return, describing them as illogical.
The same sources indicated that Al-Ahly's management has reasons for excluding Abu Ali's return, including his departure to Columbus Crew for a significant amount estimated at 7 million dollars, in addition to his essential participation with his current team.
It is noteworthy that Wissam Abu Ali strongly pressured Al-Ahly's management to leave the team this summer towards Columbus Crew, due to the substantial financial compensation he would receive and his family's desire to settle in the United States.
