The Referee Decision for the Match between Real Madrid and Liverpool in the Champions League

UEFA has announced the officiating crew for the highly anticipated match between English club Liverpool and Spanish club Real Madrid, part of the fourth round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League, scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening at Anfield.

The European football governing body has appointed Romanian referee Istvan Kovacs to officiate the match, assisted by his compatriots Mihai Marica and Viorel Tănase, while Marcel Bârsan will serve as the fourth official, and German referee Bastian Dankert will take charge of the video assistant referee (VAR) duties, assisted by Swiss official Viday San.

Real Madrid enters the match with confidence after winning their first three group stage matches against Marseille 2-1, Kairat Almaty 5-0, and Juventus 1-0.

In contrast, Liverpool won two matches against Atletico Madrid 3-2 and Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1, while losing to Galatasaray 1-0.
