Al-Jaber Criticizes Al-Hilal's Playing Style Against Al-Shabab

Sami Al-Jaber, the former star of Al-Hilal, criticized the Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of the team, after their narrow victory over Al-Shabab with a single goal in the derby of the seventh round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.

Al-Jaber said in a statement on MBC: "Al-Hilal was in a state of tactical chaos against Al-Shabab, and today I was expecting the participation of Abdullah Al-Shreida due to the numerous defensive substitutions made by Inzaghi."

He continued: "Inzaghi's changes were defensive, following the expulsion of Senegalese Khalidou Koulibaly. I expected either Mohammed Kanno or Nasser Al-Dosari to be substituted for Abdullah Al-Hamdan, while Marcos Leonardo continued, as Al-Shabab did not have counter-attacks."

He added: "Al-Hilal is playing without the identity of a champion, winning matches with a specific style. This is not the style of the blue team that we know, with very weak tactics and elements."

He continued: "Inzaghi's Italian culture tends to focus on securing the three points regardless of performance, which is contrary to what we know about Al-Hilal that seeks both quality and results."

He concluded his remarks: "I am not happy with this style, and Al-Hilal's goal came from the only sequence we saw in today's match. This is not our usual style with the available elements, and the current tactics are very weak and cannot be relied upon except in specific matches."
