Khaled Mortagi, a candidate for the position of treasurer at Al-Ahly Club, delivered an emotional message to the fans and members regarding the club's elections.
Khaled Mortagi said via Facebook: "In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah... I hope from Allah, the Almighty, to earn the trust of the esteemed General Assembly of Al-Ahly Club."
He continued: "So that I may represent them as treasurer on the board of directors within Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib's list, in order to serve Al-Ahly Club, its members, and its fans."
Al-Ahly is preparing to face its counterpart Al-Masry next Sunday in the 13th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
