Real Madrid president Florentino Perez congratulated French star Kylian Mbappe after he received the European Golden Shoe award this evening in the VIP box at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Perez said during the ceremony held today: "Welcome everyone, today is a special day for all of us, it is a prestigious award, and I am very happy to have Kylian Mbappe on our team, I am proud of him. Congratulations on this award."
He added: "Last season, you won the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, scoring 31 goals in the league and 44 goals in all competitions."
He continued: "Winning the Golden Shoe is extremely difficult. You are the fourth player to achieve this at Real Madrid after Hugo Sanchez, Ronaldo Nazario, and Cristiano Ronaldo."
He emphasized: "During your time with us, you have come to realize how difficult this badge is; we are only satisfied with constant excellence."
