Al-Nasr Aims to Sign a Defensive Midfielder and a Goalkeeper in Winter
Friday 31-10-2025
Sources have revealed that the officials of Al-Nasr Saudi Club wish to make some changes during the upcoming winter transfer window, specifically in the goalkeeping position and the defensive midfield role.

According to reports, Al-Nasr's management does not rule out starting negotiations with new names for the goalkeeper and defensive midfield positions, in preparation for making decisive decisions at the beginning of January.

The sources indicated that Al-Nasr's management is considering three options regarding the goalkeeper position: the first is to keep the Brazilian goalkeeper Bento Matheus until the end of the season and give him another chance to prove himself, or to terminate his contract and sign a new foreign goalkeeper.

Additionally, there is another option to fully rely on the duo Nawaf Al-Aqeedi and Raghid Al-Najjar, and to utilize the foreign slot for a defensive midfielder capable of creating balance between the lines.

Reports have confirmed that the debate is intensifying regarding the future of Bento Matheus at Al-Nasr, following the loss of confidence from Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus in his abilities during the current season.
