Manchester United Eyes Lille Talent
Wednesday 17-12-2025
Manchester United has held internal discussions regarding the possibility of signing Ayoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old midfielder from Lille and the French U21 national team, according to reports from 'CaughtOffside'.

The report indicated that Manchester United scouts have been closely monitoring Bouaddi, with sporting director Christopher Vivell impressed by the player's level and notable performance with Lille's first team.

United's interest comes after Bouaddi has excelled significantly with the French team, attracting the attention of several major European clubs, including Arsenal and others outside the Premier League, although the club has yet to make any official offers.

Bouaddi is considered a young, versatile player, combining quick passing, good game reading, and defensive solidity, making him a clear upgrade compared to current midfielders like Manuel Ugarte.

The club's interest is part of a new strategy to sign young talents instead of relying on expensive signings, similar to what occurred in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, and United hopes to leverage its good relationship with Lille to secure one of the team's standout stars ahead of its European rivals.

Ayoub Bouaddi remains a promising option to strengthen the midfield, and he is expected to have a significant future at Manchester United if the club successfully completes the deal.
