A Spanish newspaper report stated that Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is considering undergoing surgery due to pain he is experiencing in his groin muscle, which has impacted his fitness over the past weeks.

According to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", Yamal is aware that he is not at his full physical fitness, and therefore decided, in coordination with the medical staff at Barcelona, to continue conservative treatment for several more weeks while monitoring the progress of his condition daily.

The report indicated that the option of surgery is not currently on the table, but if conservative treatment does not succeed in the coming period, the Spanish star may be forced to enter the operating room.

The newspaper noted that the player consulted doctors outside the club to obtain additional opinions regarding the nature of the injury and recovery methods.

The newspaper concluded that Lamine's injury is quite similar to the case experienced by Lionel Messi, when he suffered from groin pain and managed to recover without surgical intervention through a balanced treatment program, which is the same approach Barcelona hopes will succeed with Yamal.
