Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour, a former star of Zamalek, has called for punishment of Al-Ahly fans due to the events that took place during the Petrojet match.

The match between Al-Ahly and Petrojet, played yesterday Wednesday as part of the 12th round of the Egyptian Premier League, ended in a 1-1 draw.

Al-Ahly fans chanted against the referee Mahmoud Basyouni after the match, and there was an altercation involving Walid Salah El-Din, the football director at Al-Ahly, with the refereeing team.

Al-Ghandour said on Facebook: "I saw what happened after the match regarding the refereeing team led by international referee Mahmoud Basyouni, and I am waiting for the referee's report and the match observer's report."

He added: "I am waiting for the decision of the head of the competitions committee and the clubs association, as long as you love justice, but are the standards the same for everyone and all fans or not?"
