Upcoming Clash Between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain for Osimhen
Wednesday 29-10-2025
Reports revealed on Wednesday evening that Spanish club Barcelona and French club Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring the future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, currently playing for Turkish club Galatasaray, in preparation for a potential signing in the summer of 2026.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Barcelona continues its search for a new striker in anticipation of the possible departure of Polish player Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season, as his contract nears its end and he is now 37 years old. Coach Hans Flick is keen on signing a world-class forward, and Osimhen is one of the prominent names being considered, despite Galatasaray's insistence on retaining him and expectations for high financial demands.

On his part, journalist "Akram Konor" confirmed that Osimhen is also among the interests of Paris Saint-Germain, as Spanish coach Luis Enrique seeks to strengthen his attacking line with a player who excels in the center-forward position, especially given the limited reliance on Portuguese player Gonçalo Ramos.

A strong competition is expected in the summer of 2026 between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain for the Nigerian star who continues to shine with Galatasaray this season, both in the Turkish league and in the Champions League.

Osimhen has scored 6 goals in 9 official matches this season, including the winning goal against Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League. The 26-year-old player had moved to Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in the 2024/2025 season, before the Turkish club eventually purchased his contract for 75 million euros.
