Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat's troubles with injuries continue as he is once again absent from the Real Betis squad called up to face Palma del Río in the first round of the Copa del Rey.

Amrabat did not participate in Wednesday's training session, leading to his exclusion from the final match roster, despite having appeared in the last La Liga match against Atlético Madrid.

This absence follows his exclusion from the match against Belgian side Genk in the Europa League due to suffering from a muscle injury in his right thigh.

During the press conference preceding the match, Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini clarified that "Amrabat still feels discomfort in the same muscle, and it is better not to risk playing him in two consecutive matches," emphasizing that the player needs more time for a full recovery before returning to competitive action.
