Renaissance Berkane Tops the List of the Most Expensive Moroccan Clubs
Renaissance Berkane has topped the ranking of Moroccan clubs in the list of the most expensive 10 clubs in Africa, according to the classification issued by the global statistics website "Transfermarkt" specialized in the market values of players.
The market value of the Berkane team reached 18 million euros, thus occupying the first place in Morocco, ahead of the Casablanca giants Wydad and Raja.
Wydad Athletic Club came in seventh place in Africa with a market value of 17 million euros, while Raja Athletic Club ranked ninth with a value of 13.14 million euros.
On the continental level, Al Ahly of Egypt topped the list as the most expensive club in Africa with a market value of 38 million euros, followed by South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns whose value reached 33.15 million euros.
Meanwhile, Pyramids FC of Egypt, the champion of the last two African Champions League and African Super Cup, came in third place in Africa with a value of 22.5 million euros.
