Bad November Strikes Barcelona Early in October
Tuesday 28-10-2025
Barcelona's team has seen a clear decline in its results during the month of October, due to the impact of numerous absences on the team's performance, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

Barcelona lost to Real Madrid 2-1 in the first El Clasico of the season at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, widening the gap between the two teams to five points at the top of La Liga. This defeat concluded a difficult month for the Catalan club, but they still have enough time to correct their course.

The newspaper noted that Barcelona fans recalled what is known as "Bad November," a period that saw the team's results decline last season under Hans Flick, where the team won only three out of six matches during that month, before going through another tough December.

However, the team was able to turn things around at the beginning of 2025, achieving 24 consecutive matches without defeat, which enabled them to win the Spanish Super Cup, qualify for the Champions League semifinals, reach the Copa del Rey final, and regain the top spot in the league.

The newspaper believes that the scenario could repeat this season, despite losses against Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla, and Real Madrid, pointing out that experiencing a period of physical and technical decline is a natural occurrence in a long season, especially with the absence of many influential players such as Juan Garcia, Raphinha, Lewandowski, Gavi, Olmo, and Christensen.

The report indicated that Barcelona has ten matches left before the end of the current year, during which they aim to ensure qualification for the Round of 16 in the Champions League and continue chasing Real Madrid in La Liga, as they will face teams like Elche, Celta Vigo, Alaves, Real Betis, Osasuna, and Villarreal domestically, in addition to Club Brugge, Chelsea, and Eintracht Frankfurt in Europe.
