Italian coach Simone Inzaghi of Al-Hilal Saudi Club has decided to exclude Serbian star Sergej Savic from the team list for the match against Al-Akhudud today, in the framework of the Round of 32 of the King Abdulaziz Cup.

According to Al-Yawm newspaper, Inzaghi preferred to give Savic complete rest to avoid fatigue before the anticipated match against Al-Shabab, scheduled for next Friday, as part of the seventh round of the Saudi Professional League.

This step is in line with the Italian coach's policy of rotating players during local tournaments, aimed at maintaining the physical and mental readiness of the team's key players.

The newspaper had previously reported that Inzaghi also excluded Brazilian Malcolm from the Al-Akhudud match for the same reason, given the busy schedule of matches during this period.

It is noteworthy that Al-Hilal managed to overcome Al-Adalah with a goal to nil in the Round of 32 of the King Abdulaziz Cup, continuing its steady journey towards the advanced stages of the tournament.

Al-Hilal also achieved an important victory over Al-Ittihad with a clean two-goal win in the sixth round of the Saudi league, which boosted the coaching staff's confidence in continuing strong performance in the upcoming period.
