Qatari Talal Al-Balushi, coach of Al-Talaba Club, finds himself surrounded by several crises just five rounds into the new season of the Iraqi Premier League.

Al-Talaba contracted Al-Balushi at the end of July with the aim of restoring the team to its natural position and competing strongly in both the Iraqi Premier League and the Iraqi Cup, but he has not yet succeeded in achieving the desired technical stability and results.

Al-Talaba lost yesterday to Al-Najaf with a last-minute goal in the 93rd minute, deepening the wounds of the team in their journey this season.

The Qatari coach explained that the goal came as a result of a defensive error in the final minutes, pointing out that players lose concentration in such critical moments, emphasizing his efforts to correct mistakes and find suitable solutions to ensure a return to the path of victories.

The problems did not stop at the loss to Al-Najaf, as Al-Talaba also faced an administrative defeat against Al-Naft due to a violation of the competition committee's regulations, after changing the shirt number of one player from the number registered in the official lists.

In addition to the technical crisis, Al-Talaba is suffering from a financial crisis that has led to delays in paying players' dues, which has affected their enthusiasm and performance in training and matches, as the team almost faced relegation to the Premier League, were it not for immediate intervention and resolving the issue at the last moment.

Talal Al-Balushi confirmed that the priority now lies in restoring technical discipline and continuing to work on correcting defensive and offensive errors while maintaining players' mental focus.
