The Saudi Al-Ahli team is preparing for a strong match against its counterpart Al-Batin this evening, Monday, as part of the Round of 16 in the King’s Cup, in a match where the Al-Ahli team seeks to confirm its domestic superiority.

German coach Matthias Jaissle hopes to lead Al-Ahli to the quarter-finals, despite the notable absences the team is suffering from in the midfield and attacking lines, which places the coaching staff in front of a difficult technical test against an ambitious opponent.

Al-Ahli will miss the services of the foreign duo Frank Kessie, the Ivorian midfielder, and Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez, after they suffered different injuries, while Brazilian Galeno continues his rehabilitation program in preparation for a return in upcoming matches.

Reports close to the club revealed that Jaissle has settled on an initial formation to face Al-Batin, relying on a defensive and offensive balance to ensure control of the match proceedings and avoid any surprises that could hinder the team's progress in the tournament.

Al-Ahli is expected to start the match with the following formation: in goal, Edouard Mendy, and in defense, Mohammed Bakr, Roger Ibanez, Merih Demiral, and Ali Majrashi, while the midfield trio will be led by Atangana, Ziyad Al-Juhani, and Enzo Milot, and the attack will be led by Matheus Jonsvalis, Firas Al-Buraikan, and Saleh Abu Al-Shamat.

On the other hand, Al-Batin enters the match supported by the factors of home and crowd, aiming to achieve an upset against one of the top teams in the Saudi league and secure a ticket to advance to the next round of the most prestigious competition in Saudi football.
