Al Ahly Decides to Part Ways with Ashraf Dari in the Winter Transfer Market

Egyptian media reports revealed that Al Ahly's management has made the decision to part ways with Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari during the upcoming winter transfer market, following a series of injuries that have plagued him since joining the team, which negatively impacted his performance on the pitch.

According to the same sources, Dari has been unable to establish himself in the starting lineup due to his recurring absences, which has led to him being excluded from the coaching staff's considerations in the Egyptian League and the African Champions League.

Despite Al Ahly's desire to terminate the contract, the Moroccan international refuses to leave the Red Castle for the Libyan league, insisting on receiving all his financial entitlements until the end of his contract, which extends until June 2028.

Ashraf Dari joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2024 after a brief European stint, but luck has not been on his side due to repeated injuries that have prevented him from staying on the field for extended periods.

Al Ahly's management is considering several options regarding the player's future, including loaning him to one of the Moroccan national league clubs or marketing him in the Gulf leagues, while covering part of his high salary, similar to what happened with his compatriot Reda Slim when he transferred to the Royal Army.

A decisive meeting is expected to be held between Al Ahly's management and Ashraf Dari after the Egyptian Super Cup scheduled between November 6 and 9 in Abu Dhabi, to finalize his future and determine his next destination based on the coaching staff's recommendations.
