Sunday 26-10-2025
The medical staff at Al-Nassr Club is conducting a thorough evaluation of the condition of several injured players ahead of the anticipated match against Al-Ittihad, part of the Round of 16 of the King Abdulaziz Cup, scheduled to take place next Tuesday in Riyadh.

Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus decided to give the team players a one-day rest following their recent victory over Al-Hazm with a score of 2-0 in the sixth round of the Saudi Roshen League, in preparation for returning to intensive training before the classic match.

According to the Saudi sports newspaper, eight players from Al-Nassr were present in the medical clinic on Sunday evening for treatment and rehabilitation sessions, while the remaining players were excused from attendance in accordance with the holiday decision.

The list of injured players includes Marcelo Brozović, Iñigo Martínez, Wesley, and Ayman Yahya, in addition to Saad Al-Nasser, Saad Haqwi, Abdul Malik Al-Jaber, and Sami Al-Najai, all of whom are under close medical supervision.

Reports confirmed that the chances of the quartet Brozović, Yahya, Martínez, and Wesley participating remain possible, while Haqwi, Al-Nasser, Al-Jaber, and Al-Najai have been definitively ruled out after it was confirmed they are not fit for the match against Al-Ittihad.

The medical staff is expected to make a final decision regarding the participation of the four injured players during the last training session on Monday before the classic match, especially as Martínez and Wesley are suffering from muscle fatigue, while Yahya and Brozović are still in the recovery phase from their injuries sustained against Al-Fateh in the fourth round of the league.
